Not All Who Wander Are Lost

At the end of the month, my dog Kit and I will be taking off from Morrisville, Vermont and headed West for about a month. This will be my first cross country road trip and my first time going to ski out west. It is the dream of so many from the East Coast and a right of passage in my mind. After graduating college I’ve held several jobs, had many apartments, grown as a person and always maintained working within the outdoor industry. I do anything possible to make it work living in a mountain town. It’s all about the freedom to be surrounded by so many like-minded people who love the same things you do as well as living around mountains and not in the city. But I was beginning to feel “unsettled” in life having not done either of these.

For the last 4 years I have had this burning desire to both ski out West and do a cross country road trip. Millions of excuses later- I made the decision to just do it because if not now- when? What solidified this decision and plan? Purchasing the Mountain Collective Ski Pass. While I’m heading out at the end of the season for some places this trip is about the journey, seeing old friends, meeting new friends and being able to have a story to tell.

I will be telling these stories along the way- here on my website. I want to be able to inspire and encourage others who might have fears of the unknown, step outside of their comfort zone (much like I am) and live. There will never be enough money in life and there will always be excuses so why not STOP and make something out of nothing.
